I am not really sure what to call it. But it it the clip or bracket on an XJ that is meant to keep the mirror from not breaking off and just breaking away. Does anyone here know what it is call and where I can get one? I do realize that I can scour junk yards but living in AZ I would love to have new plastic instead of old already sun worn plastic.

From what ive seen, thats a parts yard only piece as the mirrors are sold as an entire assembly elsewhere.

 

Ugh. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. How many good mirrors have been tossed because of this? LOL

 

What year is it your working on? I am parting out a 93 2 door burn out and a 94 2 door 2 wheel drive. I might have it.

Those brackets on eBay are 3D printed. If you go on thingiverse.com there is a print file for that bracket, if you know someone with a 3D printer.
