Looking to lift my rear around .5" because add a leaf doesnt really seem to cut it. Ive had the lift over a year and the rear has rubbed since day one. Im looking for the cheapest way possible this isnt a heavy duty wheeler just hunting season on easy trails, i just like to screw around a little. Sorry for the write up any help would be appreciated. Thinking of just putting in a homemade block or some shackles from a different vehicle. Thanks
Im sure you could use a couple leafs from a s10 spring pack to fix the sag and gain some added height. I wouldnt use the whole s10 pack, maybe the middle two.
Ill advised to run a lift block on worn springs, you will have broke springs real quick.

The easiest and cheapest way to lift it permanently would be to take a trip up to autozone and buy their suspension lift block kit. It's only about $23 and you get everything including new U bolts. It'll ride like a B**** but will do the job and ensure your rear will never sag again.
they do not change the ride quality whatsoever though, they are nothing more then a spacer that moves the axle down in relation to the body of the jeep.
my suggestion would be to either build a bastard pack, or measure your stock shackles and then go to the junkyard and find a shackle that is the right width and is about 1.5" longer. i say 1.5" and not 1" because the axle is not centered on the length of the spring

A set of MJ shackles or 1/2" lift block.
Now, for all those that are crying about a 1/2" lift block... it changes the geometry less than going with a D60 rear, so please... give it up.
A 1/2" block is not going to noticably effect spring wrap or ride.

blocks have been in use longer than most people on this site have been alive the major factor contributing to axle wrap is weak springs and miss information

Thanks for the help guys. I figured the lift block because its a super cheap option and how much could that effect axle wrap. And thanks for the link to the shackles ill be looking into those.
