Quadratech has them starting at $2200.00. quadratec.com I'm sure there are less expensive sources, maybe Jaspers Engines. A junkyard engine that has been freshened up a bit would be the least expensive route to take.

I'm thinking you're only gonna find a rebuilt, not new engine.

You understand those engines are rebuilt, not new?

Nothing wrong with that. Just so you know.

Will I have to reprogram or buy a new ECU for the jeep ? Or is it just install motor, then plug and play from there?

Exactly. A real "new" engine could only come from Chrysler/Jeep and if available, it would be cost prohibitive. Remans from reputable sources are quite good. Also keep in mind that your core charges may not be refunded if the block is visibility damaged.

looking to buy new 4.0!!!!!!
Head over to US Auto Parts at 18 and Van Dyke. Look into a couple jeeps they have with good engines. Even if you have to do a bench rebuild, its still a ton cheaper than a reman.
