Default Lookin for help with Throttle Body Spacer?

I ordered a Throttle Body Spacer for and 87-95 Jeep Cherokee and got one for a 2.5L and I have a 4.0L I dont know if it will fit or if it will totally kill any power that I have. Just wanting to know if it will be easier to just bolt it on if it will work or just send it back and get one for a 4.0L?
Thanks for all your advice.

No sence in "trying to make it work" and ruining the unit and all chances to return.

Send it back and get the proper unit for your motor.

FYI: A throttle body spacer will not net you anything. Unless you have a worked motor. The 4.0L is a FI motor. The only thing going thru the intake is AIR. The fuel is introduced at the end of the intake runners.

A throttle body spacer works with an air/fuel mixture. If you have a TBI motor(single large injector atop a butterfly assembly) where the fuel is introduced into the air stream at the start, you will no doubt have some HP/torque gains.

4.0L TB spacers are merely an advertising ploy to get your hard earned $$$.

Personally, I would send it back and ask for a refund. Use the money for a tune-up and new air filter. There is more to gain in doing that than a TB spacer.

P.S. I have been running a TB spacer for almost a year now and the only thing its done is NOTHING.

Like said before they do nothing.

Buy a KN filter drop it in your stock air box. You'll be much happier. And while your at it open up your exhaust.
