yes new tires would be in the near future along with the lift and ALIGNMENT to make sure there isnt a reason for the three different tires!

150K isnt alot of miles for these. the mix matched tires is another good reason to go lower on the price.
The quickest way to check that the head is good it to looking under the valve cover thru the oil fill cap with a flash light. If you see "milkshake" colored oil or light, out of place color oil anywhere, walk away

alright im sticking up for the #0331 head....
YES they do crack i know about this..
this is the worst thing you chould do.. the last 3 years of the 4.0 had a LOT of tweaks to them. the heads and intake had the most..
( Jeep Strokers FAQ ) http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/vi...php?f=34&t=241
every motor jeep did was blue printed all the tweaks they did was matched to its years just like any other motor
2001 block / intake / head
2001 block / intake / 1998 head... what?!
no you cant do that youll change how the hole motor runs and performs.as seen above they did alotttt to the 0331 head, it was matched to everything... even 2000 and 2001 are VERY differint.. puting on a earlier head is NOT the fix.. to much money and labor
the 0331 is a good head. it flows the most, best exhaust setup and with its right intake and cam it can pack a punch.. the 0331 gets really blown up here

this is the bigest thing to look for.. ask how the cooling was serviced..
EVERYTHING new/old parts, flush's, any probs he had with it.. that wood be my bigest thing to ask.. when i got my 2001 the first thing i wanted to do was redo the hole cooling. ive never over heated and i can push my truck pass 5K drive in 100+ - -25deg wether and not worry about it..
in all, deff a truck to get try for $4000- $4300 tho

the only thing that fixes a cracked head is a new head, preferably one from an earlier year.
this head is prone to cracking in its first few years of casting. It has Ports that are higher on the head and the intakes flow better than the intakes of a 0630 (and I suspect the 7120 as well but I will confirm that at some point).
The exhausts on the 0331 should be better for torque (perhaps worse for high RPM horse power, perhaps no difference), they are smaller, shapped much better, and the floor has been raised a lot while the "roof" was raised slightly making for a higher velocity port, more exhaust "scavenging" and thus better low end torque.

a head only cracks if it gets to hot, so dont overheat it and you should be fine

well guys..i went to look at it
the passenger mirror will not move down from the switch inside but the other directions work. the driver door speaker does not work. no spare. some scratches on the doors. but the mechanical side of it is TOP NOTCH! the axles look brand new!(but they are not) he is asking $4900 for it. I am deciding whether or not to get the carfax. WHAT DO YOU THINK??

well the car fax says it has had 3 owners not including the guy i am possibly going to buy it from who runs his own "out of the house care dealership" and the third owner had it for 40k miles and failed two emission checks in one month and finally got it passed supposedly. so thats the only thing i am iffy on. and no the spare is no big deal..but here is a question for yall....can i fit a 31" tire in the trunk in the stock spare location?

I don't think the guy can sell you the car if it can't pass an emissions test. You may want to check with an authority on the subject, but in my reading of emissions regulations, if you are in Georgia and selling a car to someone who will be registering the car in an emmissions county, it must be able to pass emissions.
