long block swap help

Default long block swap help

i have a 2000 cherokee and i spun a bearing, i wanna swap in a long block but all i can find inexpensive and local is a 1998 and a 1999 long block. question is will they fit with my manifolds and sensors?

the 99' block will, but youll have to swap your ignition coils over and keep your wiring harness, as well as your fuel rail and injectors.

on a side note....you could pull the crank and have it reground .010 under (costs $100) and throw oversize main/rod bearings, and a new oil pump in, and all for about $200...

i dont mind swapping everything over as long as everything will bolt right onto the block, is the 98 different?

different emmisions, different fuel injectors, different intake.
the 99 will swap over easier.

You should use a 2000 head (0331) casting a good one . this will make the swap easier for you to,everthing else will bolt on just throw the dist. away and drop the oil pump drive and cam sensor in there.
