Default Lockers question

I have a xj and want to get cheap (price) locker. I was wondering what kind u recommend? I'm also wondering if I should go front or back with the locker? I have the stock d30/d35 axles!
Thanks, jeremy

Although spending money on a D35 is not too highly recommended. I would purchase a used 8.25 Chryco axle first and then do the locker later.

Get a newer 8.25 axle, or a d44 from the junkyard, then throw in an aussie.
thats what I did and it has been flawless so far.

Yeah, the 97 and newer 29 spline 8.25 is the only one you can get an Aussie Locker for. AND I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE AUSSIE LOCKER!!!! $239 and axle for all XJ axles. The things are tuff as nails....and very quiet on the road.

Don't waste the money on a locker for the Dana 35. Get a 29 spline 8.25 and get the Aussie and then call it a day.
