Sense you live in the Holy place for wheeling you may want a LSD or selectable in the front for turning on that slick rock.

if you do plan on running a full case locker to accommodate lower gearing then i would look into ARB, OX locker, Detroit locker, Auburn ECTED, and eaton E locker. or you could just get a spool, depending on wat axles you have.
I've got an ARB airlocker in my D44 rear, and I love it. Its selectable, though, and not really a full time deal. Not to mention you could always snag the line and snap it, leaving yourself without a locker. Same goes with any selectable locker, for the most part.
Detriot is a name I've heard for many, many years. Non-selectable, probably perfect for what your looking for. But expensive.

If its just a plain trail rig like you said, weld the spider gears. Not good for on-road use, though.

I have gone with the Detroit "soft locker" on 3 of my jeeps. They are strong and have a good personality. I'm not a fan of lincon lockers because the carrier usually gives at some point.
Know this too... When you lock it up, you are waaaaay more prone to axle snaps and with a c-clip rearend it will leave you sitting right there till you put anouther one in.
Ther are package deals out there that include locker and stronger shafts. Alloy USA is a good pic for the price point.
AND, when you lincon lock the rearend, if you break an axle, it can be wicked difficult to get the diff appart.
There is a lot I can say on this topic, but I'm not sure what your committment level is and how much you are willing to spend.
