Default Lock out converter and cruise stopped working

i unhooked a plug under the column when changing the brake light switch. when i plugged it back in it was very hard to plug back together. ever since i haven't had cruise control and the lockout converter doesn't engage when in overdrive. could i have messed up the plug or was the timing just coincidence? its in my daily driver 91 xj. any help would be appreciated as my gas mileage has went to hell!

hey there i would try messing with the plug do you have brake lights? i have a couple extra wires on mine that goes into the yellow box under the dash for the cruise maybe one of those fell off? if the converter dont lock up it might be thinking your foot is on the brake so it wont lock up i would try the wiring if you put in a new switch good luck !!
