Default Light's on roof rack.........wiring

I am thinking about adding a roof rack and putting a couple light's on it and was wondering where most people run their wires.

It all depends on the set up of your roof rack and what not, but i've seen the wiring ran through the weather stripping on the passenger door pillar and it looked clean.

the way i did it took a bit more wire but it ended up clean and out of the way, i ran it from the firewall back under the interior trim, then open the rear hatch, pop off the plactic cover for the rear defrost wires and i drilled into the cabin right next to it, put a rubber bung in the hole to prevent chaffing of the wires, and ran it to the roof through the factory rack rails, ill take pics of the visible areas to give you an idea, i siliconed all around every hole just to be safe and its great, i went crazy and used loom and notched my hatch around the wires to give them a channel to sit in, cant even tell other then the loom and six roof lights

if your rack is gutter mounted you can run the wires in the gutter, down under the windshield molding and then into the engine compartment running under the corner of the fender then in thru the firewall.
I run mine along the weather stripping and then into the cab. but i run my CB radio wire as i mentioned above and it works out perfectly
