Lighting Issues: Rear Tails, dash lights--HELP!!!

Engine: 4.0 L I6
Hwy I have an 88 and had the same problem. Inside the rear hatch I had three plugs and disconnected them all and threw the fuse in. Then lights worked! So i plugged in each set until i head the fuse pop and that clip is no longer connected. Hope this helps. If it doesn't I could take pics to show ya
