I'm running some cheep lights from Advance Auto Parts. (Night something halogens, 55w) and those are brighter than my high beams. Cost $40 for two, easy enough to wire and they're a 6" lens. Money well spent.

What I tested:
I ran my two 55w bulbs, high beams, vent on highest power (and heat), and interior lights at full bright, this dropped me down to about 11~12 volts on the meter. When I get two more lights mounted, I plan on running those instead of my high beams.

I recently bought Hellas and am happy with them...but the KC's look sweet.
I decided that my projects were starting to add up in the expense dept. & figured I'd save the extra $...besides, if I bang one into a low hanging limb, new Hella's are only a trip to Walmart away.
I emailed Hella b/c I noticed they sell 100w H3 bulbs and list them as fitting the 500's even though they come w/55 watt bulbs installed. I asked if I could go with 130 watt bulbs and they responded that the housings wouldn't take the heat, but they said 100 watts would be ok. When I wired the lights, I used larger wires for the two inside lights which have the 100w bulbs. I also used a 40 amp capacity relay and a 25 amp fuse instead 15 amps, which is what is used on the outboard 55 watt bulbs. In the end, they work great and 4 lights cost about the same as one pair of the KC's.

I have never used Hella, but I have had about 7 or 8 sets of KC's. They work good for a while, but every set I have ever owned I have had a problem with the reflectors rusting out. I will never run a set of KC lights again for this reason. Im running Pilots right now and they work just as good as anything else and they havent rusted out yet....they look kinda like PIAA's
