Default Lifter Knock

Last night I changed the spark plugs and valve cover gasket on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0l 6. After I finished the job I started it up and got a lifter knock that wasnt there before any ideas?

if you didnt gap your plugs right it could cause i mis that sounds like a tap. or you may have gotten something under the valve cover when you had it off.

Sarcasm? If so, I saw nothing wrong with that comment honestly.

Hes right though, stick with Champions. You need RC12LYC plugs for yours, IIRC (someone correct me if Im wrong, thats what my girlfriends 96 uses)

Might try checking at night time to see if you have bad spark plug that causing the coil to jump spark to ground. Had less problems with Champions plugs on 4.0 engines.
