Default Lift and Tire's MPG's

If I lift my 2000 XJ Sport 3" and put on 31" tires, how much will the gas mileage be hurt? And will a K&N Intake help it out any? I wanna know if the money is worth it. I know a lot of people use it because they look cool (Which they do ) But I wanna just to gain back those miles I'm losing from the tires. Or can I?

K&N is good for performance slightly. But it gains performance by letting dirt into your engine instead of filtering it. I wouldn't use one. I have 31s and they only have about 15 miles less out of a whole tank then I got from the stock tires

What plugs did you replace when you put those in?

Champion or Autiolight can't remember but E3's have proven 9hp and if you don't drive like I normally do it helps your mpg's more then any thing else I have tried. I have run them in my 99 for over a year and my 95 for at least 2 or 3 when ever the first went on the market. WILL NEVER RUN ANOTHER PLUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
