Its funny you say that because I just got home from driving in a snow storm LOL We just got over a foot of snow in the past week. But the thing is all my work is in the Valley. I rarely drive over 10 miles to work and its all on back roads with no traffic. The only other place I go is Moab and that's like 25 miles again on all back roads. So I don't think it would be a problem. I mean the times I do go farther possibly in snow I will just have to take it easy which is fine with me. It’s worth having the off road performance.

As far as that setup being too much for a DD, if you lived in the midwest like I do and had to worry about winter driving, then it would pose more to be concerned about. But, given your locale, I wouldn't think twice about it.
Why would a LA kit be more of a concern in winter?

I was really meaning more of going that height with those tires (over his current 3" and 31's). It would totally suck in the snow and ice.

I have a 95 XJ. I run a skyjacker 6" kit(plus slip yoke eliminator, custom axle) with 33" tires and too many other mods too list. It's not a daily driver set up, but it's great on the trail. I would definitely go 6 or better, I like the skyjacker kit(4 years nothing is broken) but the rubicon is a lot less pricey...probably just as good.
