their parts arent for hardcore wheelers. they are for budget wheelers. i had their 4.5" on my dd/weekend xj and it did just fine for 2 years. if you want top notch **** you gotta actually spend money.

x2. quality and price go hand in hand (in most instances) this is why rubicon express, IRO, and others are priced like they are. They are meant to take the abuse that you throw at them. RC is not meant for that abuse

So RC kits are not meant to be wheeled? Those rigs a dd/weekend wheelers. nothing special. come to think of it, I think one of the rigs had no lockers.

If it's a daily driver with mild wheeling, just get some replacement springs from quadratech or the junk yard (btw, JY is junk yard... not sure about fitment of YJ leafs) and used the saved money to purchase some basic skids and JKS disconnects.
I agree with XJoffroad regarding the "cheaper" lift kits. Why sell a 4+" lift kit that will fail once it is used to go where 4+" will take you???
In my opinion, if you really want "some" lift, go with quality manuafacturers.
For 2" spend the money on Old Man Emu, for 3" look at Old Man Emu, Rubicon Express and BDS. All 3 of those manufacturers actually make full spring/shock kits.
Not that it matters, but I run an Old Man Emu 2" kit boosted to 2.5" lift and it is way more capable than most folks would need for a daily driver application.
Check "my photos"... just saying that you don't need 4+" of lift to go where most are unwiling to go.
Hope that helps...

RE leafs and shocks seem to be complete crap lately. im having nothing but problems with my 5.5 leafs. both front mono tube shocks blew in the first 6 months. i wont be giving rubicon express any more money anytime soon.

I did OME on my first XJ. Best ride ever. And I didn't think it was horribly expensive for what I got. Serious quality parts.
I currently run Rusty's 4.5". I probably wouldn't choose anything else for my style driving. Minus their shocks. None of these companys make their own shocks or leaf springs for that matter. But you do get what you pay for.
I think a lot of these micky mouse companys' like Procomp and RC are a waste of money and I think they ride like poo.
