Default to lift or not ?????

I got a '97 Jeep Ckerokee amd put new tires on which are 235/75R/15. And they rub because the springs are sagging. I was gonna lift it with a kit that has new springs but the only lift I can find is a 3 inch with new rear springs. So do I really need a lift with that size tire if I had springs that aren't sagging? Also I am looking for the cheapest route I can take.

Thanx in advance

Follow this build. I have 235 75's like you and was not sure if I should lift. I went this route and am very happy. Taller than stock, but not drastic. Road manners are great and I can even go one size larger if need be. Pretty much bumpers and it will be done until my son wants it +/- 10 years from now.

3" looks almost stock, get a decent rough country lift with full leaf packs. And welcome to the addiction.

or you could have your springs re-arched and get new shocks....cheap, quick fix....

if you do not want to lift a whole lot, OME makes the best ride quality lift out there. They are made my ARB in australia but there are many venders who sell their products. I would look into them. Great Company with an EXCELLENT ride. much better than stock

I have 235/75's on my stock rig and I don't rub at all. Could always hit the JY and grab a set of decent, non-flat springs off an XJ and throw those on.

no they have not gotten better. 2 members in our club had a 4.5" lift and one had a 6.5 long arm kit. first trip out on both (they are brothers) we hit moab. 4.5" kit the leafs turned into S shape. 2 days later the long arm bushings were shot. got home and found out both set of leafs bushing are garbage.

oh ya the kits were bought a little over two months ago. garbage. they sold the kits and went another route. I would hate to have to replace my bushing after I just bought a new kit. come to find out its a common probably and RC said they are going to work on it 4 quarter of this year. sorry dude they are garbage.
