Default Lift kit help

Looking to do about a 3.5" body lift on a 1996 jeep cherokee classic. Im having a hard time figuring out what kind of kit to get since ive never lifted a car before and there are so many different kits out there. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions since people on here have a lot more experience than i do and i figure someone could point me in the right direction. Im looking to spend about 400-500 or so.

Well with a XJ you can only do a suspension lift due to having a unibody. There are tons of companys out there. JUst run a search on google to bring a bunch up. Rough Country makes a lift that alot of people run and dont have much bad to say. Rubicon make a lift but it is a little more money but well worth it IMO. But just try and stay away from rear blocks under your leaf springs.

You can't do a body lift on a Cherokee because it doesn't have a frame. Suspension lifts are your only option. I never used anything less than 6" so I can't recommend any 3.5" lifts for you but tons of others on here have and will be willing to share. Good luck on the build.

If your willing to spend the money i would go with rubicon express. They usually sit a little higher than advertised so your looking at 4-4.5" of lift off this kit.

If your looking for something cheaper i have heard good things about Rough Country.

Both of these are great kits.
