Well for starters there is no such thing as a body lift for our xj's since they are unibody constructed.....But on the other hand you could fit 31's or 32's with only 3inches of lift and cutting the fenders.....HTH

BTW: Heres the the website for good cheap lifts......

for 31's I would say around 3.5"+ for 32's around 4.5" or so..You could run 32's on a 3.5" list but would need to trim the fenders..

to answer your question "none" you can fit them with trimming alone

About 2inches which you can get for around $100 and still use the stock shocks.....Now remember anything over 2.5 inches of lift you will need to get new shocks as well.....

well. depending if you want flex or not. if you want a good enough gap from the tire and the fender, 3.5 would be good enough for 31's. you can do with less but you would be stuffing it. i run a 4.5" rough country with 31's. but thats the set up i like. i can get full turn with no rubbing and plenty of space for flex. i could easily get 32's under there as well.

So what size tires do you want for sure? Just remember the higher you go with short arms the rougher the ride will be.. If it was me and I had no plans for any offroad I would go with a nice 3" lift and some nice riding shocks. This would allow you to go offroad say some trails or hunting and fishing but nothing extreme and would look pretty sharp. Toss on some 31" tires and proper bump stops and call it good.

Well it al depends on how much you want to spend.. Rough Country makes a nice 3" lift and XJStryker has em on 2 jeeps. RE makes a very nice 3.5" lift in the super ride flavor. Could easily run 31" tires. Also after all is said and done I think it actually measures closer to 4" but once you had some nice bumpers you would be closer to the 3.5" mark. So also depends on if you want aftermarket bumpers or not. If your plan is stock bumpers then I would go with the Rough Country 3" lift with some nice shocks. Also if you plan on hunting and fishing I would look into a nice roof rack. Great for carrying a spare tire, extra 5 gal gas can (never know when out in the wild), ice chests and so on. Also consider a rear htch mount carrier for hauling those deer out of the woods..

i have a 2 inch BB with 31" the only rubbing i get is when im turned all the way to where it wont go anymore and it will rub on the control arm, but if you dont turn it to lock you shouldnt have a problem.

jcroffroad.com makes some nice bumpers and a reasonable price as well. Yes you can put 31" tires on a 2" lift but I wouldn't suggest it unless it's on road use only. If you plan to go off road at all you need to go at least 3" for 31" tires..Also the racks look at Summitracing.com for the surco racks.

ok so i like the Rough country lift. I would prolly get it with new leaf springs. When only lifting it 3 inches would i run into any problems with the drivline??? Also will i need drop spindles or anything of that sort.?? Thanks
