Default lifespan of a dana 35.....

442,864mi is what I found out this morning on the way to work at 45mph, is the life expectancy of a reasonably driven and modestly trailed bone stock dana-35. Limped it 2mi to work in 4hi, but boy the looks I got from people with all the noise coming from the rearend.

Sorry to hear that Highmilage. I wonder what's the easiest way to plug that, (now useless), hole where your rear drive line went, on your new front wheel drive?

Only for a minute, boss let me use a lease truck for the next few days while I pull the (favor)free auto axles I scored a couple weeks ago. Bonus on taking the springs, parts are coming off an Up-Country, so getting a free inch also.

Favor in return is helping my buddy do his WJ steering conversion.

Got the new "and I mean new" rearend in. Good score, it had recently had the gears redone before it got scrapped. Plus the button weld were beefed up at the tubes.
Pumpkin says 35C(is this worth a D&#^) and 87yr but it came out of an 88. Doing the front end week after next.
Also can I use the speedo gear out of the auto to kinda correct the speedo, at 75 the speedo reads 84?
