Whenever it rains, my entire driver floor is filled with about 4 inches of water! And all underneath the dash is soaked. I'm afraid of a future electrical problem. I can't tell where it's leaking. Does anyone have an idea?

I am fighting the same thing on the passenger’s side. I went to a auto glass dealer and he told me that the windshield on the Cherokee does not have a rubber seal that it is epoxy or glued in against the body and that the trim that you see on the out side is just that "Trim". He said that over time with the unibody construction flexing that the epoxy will crack and allow water to come in to the cab around the windshield. He told me to take strips of paper towel and place them inside the cab where the windshield meets the body above the dash and spray water on the windshield and see if they get wet. If they do the windshield will have to be removed and re-epoxy to the body. He also said that sometimes rust between the windshield and the body will cause the problem and it will require body work to be done before re-epoxying the windshield back in.
I haven't tried that paper towel thing yet but maybe this weekend.
I am not saying that this is your problem but it gives you something to check out.
Good Luck

OP, check under/above your passenger side kick panel for the antenna wire running through to the inner fender. If the grommet for it has came out of the hole, the antenna wire will channel water right into behind the kick panel, under the carpet, into your floors. You need to check in the engine bay as well at where the blower motor, A/C lines, etc. go through the firewall into the passenger area.
Have you been checking your coolant lately? If you've been a little short at times the heater core may be leaking.
Also, if you've had your windshield replaced in the last year or so sometimes the urethane used to hold the windshield in can come loose in a small spot and cause a leak. It's a normal occurance, and can be touched up very easily by a window shop if you can pinpoint where its coming from.
Easiest way i've found to find the leak is for you to sit in the passenger seat and have a friend hit all the possible spots for a leak with the water hose with decent pressure.

Your glass man is right. However, most of the rust he's referring to is actually cause by windshields being replaced unprofessionally. Any glass man that knows what he's doing knows that removing the front windshield inevitably involves chipping the paint in the "seat" that windshield sits in (not visible to you without removing the trim). Most experienced or knowledgable glass shops will put a primer on the seat for the window to prevent rust, but some are too lazy and dont which causes rust to form in the seat and eventually eat its way to the top of the roof.

Another way to locate where the windshield is leaking is to use soap and water then spray it all around the outside trim, then apply about 30 PSI air with a nozzle from the inside around the inside edge of the windshield and watch for bubbles on the out side as you move it along the seam. I just did this and found that about 3" at the bottom on the right hand side was where the leak was at. I applied a urethane sealent to that area from the inside and hope that this will fix the problem. They say to use a urethane sealent and not silicone.

i ran a strip of tape about 1/4 inch above the trim and about 1/8 inch along the trim, then the same below the trim, then used ultra black RTV and ran a good bead to seal along the top and bottom of the trim.
when it dried, i just removed the tape and had a perfect straight line of RTV to seal the windshield.
i only had to "repair" a section once.
works great.
