Default Leaking transmission line - how to fix/looking for transmission diagram

Hey all,

I'm new here but it looks like mechanical questions other than lift/off roading are acceptable so here goes. I just bought a 95 Cherokee Sport and one of the transmission lines is leaking where the rubber hose connects to the solid metal line that runs through the radiator. I've called a few parts stores and all are asking me what type of transmission line I need. They've provided me with three different options but unfortunately I don't know which one is the right one. These lines are also only available through special order so I can't even take a look at them prior to purchasing. I have a Haines manual on the car, but to my amazement, the exploded diagram of the tranmission doesn't say a thing about any tranny lines. So my question is does anyone know of an online resource where I can find an diagram of the transmission OR if anyone has experience with replacing these lines/hoses, how did you do so?

Thanks!

The fittings are quick-disconnect. The FSM has diagrams. I don't know how to access/print them onto here. My '97 had one that leaked and I picked it up at the dealer. No waiting. It was the high-pressure line from the rad cooler to the aux. cooler. I could have cobbled something up, but chose the correct part instead. JMO

You can buy these lines at Oreilly's that's where I got all 3 of them and replaced them all.

buy nothing but two hose clamps. take a hacksaw and hack the small metal line that goes into the BIG coupling that has the rubber hose in it, make sure that you wipe away all metal debris. Now take a sharp knife and cut the rubber tubing at that same BIG coupling and once again check for metal shavings.... now slide the metal tube end into the rubber hose and use the two clamps to clamp it down. Make sure you slide enough of the metal line into the rubber hose to allow both hose clamps to grab it and clamp down on it.

this is a fix I did after my rig sat for two years and it works great no leaks, just make sure you tighten those clamps down good, but don't strip them.

Greetings - I'm new to this forum, looks like a good source!
Has anyone replaced one of these lines, from tranny to radiator? My lower hose rubber section managed to jiggle to where the aux. fan cut a groove into it. Not leaking yet, but just a matter of time. Anyway, it looks like a PITA to take out then install a new one, but maybe it is simpler than it looks? Thanks!
