Leaking injectors

Default Leaking injectors

help! all 6 injectors started leaking at the same time..all i did was change my shocks..seems all vac lines are in place...besides buying a guage and checking fuel pressure and changing o rings...any ideas? no leaks before, wondering what could cause all to leak at once

It is unlikely that all injectors would develop a leak at the same time.

Explain how you verified the injector leaks.

terrible gas odor while driving...opened hood while running and all injectors were wet and smoking

My guess is that your fuel rail has come loose where the injectors go into the engine. Make sure the rail and injectors are properly seated. You probably should replace the lower o-rings on the injectors. Make sure to lube them before re-seating the injectors, otherwise you'll rip them and still have leaks.

There are 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail on, make sure those are tight.

thanks for the ideas...checked all of those things..tried to replace upper and lower o-rings but was given wrong ones at Parts Source...will return them tomorrow, get the right ones from Jeep and try, try again..i'll post what happens..still strange that they all started leaking at once...wondering about fuel pressure regulator perhaps

the rail end of the injectors seems to be leaking..rail was tight, hadn't moved..will try and change those o-rings and the lower ones tomorrow
