A rebuild kit might not solve your problem depending on the source of the leak. Usually if a top o-ring goes bad the leak will be pretty bad because of the high pressure behind the rings at that point. The older XJ injectors are known to develope a leak where the plastic top is mated to the metal body and often you'll see that it looks "wet" because it is seeping thru a hairline gap. If that's the case you'll need to change the injector. One of the advantages of doing the injector "upgrade" is that the newer plastic bodied injectors are a one piece design and it eliminates that problem.
Just clean it good and then let it run and see if it appears to be leaking from the top o-ring or elsewhere.

If it's from the very top (fuel rail) then it's the o-ring. They can be rebuilt but by the time you buy a rebuild kit you already spent half the price of a set of 703's or something similar. I MIGHT still have a set of stock XJ injectors laying around my place I rebuilt once just to put them back in and see what the MPG difference was. If I still have them and can find them I can let you have them cheap. I'll look around tomorrow.
