Default Leaking Gas???

Just bought myself a 92 Xj about a week ago, a sergeant in my company sold it to me after replacing a pretty wide range of parts. I noticed earlier today after I filled up that there was a small drip coming from near the gas tank, checked it out and just as I thought it was gas. I took a look under and it seems to be leaking from the around the fuel pump, I checked the hoses connected to it and its not coming from there, it seems to be coming from the edge of the pump. Anyone know what it could be? maybe a misplaced o-ring or something? or am I about to have to go and get a new pump...

My crystal ball tells me it's a rusted pump flange and a rotten o ring.

That would be my guess, as well. I'll give my standard PSA now: Don't buy an Airtex fuel pump. Get one from the dealer or from NAPA.

Yeah that's definitely what it is. I'll to save up for a new pump, the leaks not bad at all just a drip here and there. Any tips or tricks for installation so it doesn't happen again?

if u can be comfy and do it under the cherokee go for it, instead i pulled the gas tank off. Of course disconnected the hoses, sensors but it made everything way easier. And to make sure it wasnt leaking anymore i tipped the gas tank half filled to the side of the pump and no gas leaked
