Leaking antifreeze??
Vehicle:
'01 Sport 2WD, 4.0
What I have replacing in the last 6 weeks that is related.
Radiator and hoses leading to it
Thermostat
Water Pump
Now I have a fairly steady leak seeming to come from around what I believe is the motor mount on the drivers side of the motor. Motor starts to overheat within an hour or so of driving. When I fill from the radiator cap it literally runs directly out of the area of the motor. I can't get a good look at where it is coming from. The antifreeze in clean and clear of oil or debris. A friend who works on older carb model Cherokees says it could be a leaking freeze plug, though he's not sure if the fuel injected models have them. Any ideas? Thanks...

First of all I would stop talk to your friend about working on your Jeep if he doesn't know that every vehicle that has a water jacket has freeze plugs. As for the leak it does sound like it is a freeze plug. When you do change out the leaking freeze plug. Change them all out. If one started leaking more then likely the others will be sure to fallow. Also when replacing make sure to get the brass ones.

How many are there?
Seems to be 2 on the back of the engine (1 large one) and 4 on the drivers side, along the block, under the intake manifold. It appears from all my research, that they are easy to replace once the intake manifold is removed.
Where can I get these? My local AUTOZONE does not carry them.

Suggestions?
