Default Leak Help

I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee classic. Pulled up in the driveway today and came back outside while later big puddle under car. Doesn't smell like oil or transmission fluid. Oil levels ok same with coolant. Seemed to be clear and greasy. Any help would be nice. Thanks

Yes I had my AC on but it was not precipitation from that. Filled up my reservoir with more steering fluid took it around the block, and when I came home and shut her off it started to leak again. Weird it starts to leak when its not under pressure. Does that point to a leak from hose or pump, if thats conclusive enough. Thanks

Whoops, sorry, overlooked the greasy part . If its all on the drivers side, it could be ps or brakes, most likely would not be brakes, cause then it would leak when it is pressed. Soulds like a collapsed p.s. hose, causing to much pressure to build up, and pushing out past a seal somewhere.

Default Hey thanks

Hey thanks guys, ended up replacing the pressure line that solved most of the dripping. It was a pain in the butt, until I removed the air filter box. So my advice is if your replacing powersteering do the simple extra step and remove the air filter box. I still have a small leak which I HOPE is only from the return line. Would love to keep 77$ for a new pump. Anyways thanks all for the help.

Chris
