How do you tell a leaking oil pan gasket from a leaking rear main seal? If you are replacing the pan gasket should you just replace the RMS anyway?

Me, and my neighbor are going to fix the seal Saturday. If successful we are going to fix his on his Wrangler.

Having a little trouble finding the OEM seal. Can anyone link me?

I've found seals, but not that particular one.

Call your local jeep dealership and give them the last 8 of your VIN

it went pretty well and mine is completely stock the biggest issue i had was breaking the hell like seal on the pan i ended up put my spare tire jack against the frame and cranking way more than i thought and the second biggest obstacle is getting the pan out without removing any thing else except the starter and bell housing cover what you need to do is jack her up and put stands under the frame so your front tires are off the ground then have someone under the car and very slowly jack up the front differential you'll hit its "G" spot and it will just fall
