for a 3 inch lift would that add a leaf kit or full leaf pack be better?

From my LIMITED knowledge on this subject, you probably won't get 3 inches of lift out of an add a leaf (AAL) set up. You should probably buy the leaf pack. However, there are more experienced members on this subject that may chime in, and you can also try the search feature and see if there is an answer there. Being that you have 12 posts or so, welcome to the forum!

no problem. were not trying to be jerks and we all know that money is tight, but thats why you have to think of your kit as an investment. the more money you spend on making it complete and not taking shortcuts now, the more money you will save in the long run. go full springs and full packs right from the start, and you wont have to deal with any bulls$^Y later. (ask me how i know)
