Hi All
I tried to change my worn sagging leaf springs on Sunday but failed, I followed the instruction in the Haynes manual and all th ebolts came out no problem but after removing all the u bolts/plates the leaf springs would not depart from the axle no matter how hard I hit it witht he hammer!
HELP! How do you get them off the axle?
I also printed this good report off which seemed very informative and clear.

I will be having another going first week of August when I will have 3-4 days to do the job.
Thanks
Stuart

See if there are any welds. Also spray everything that might hold them together with PB blaster. And keep trying that hammer on the u bolts.
Sent from my mind using the rusty stock leafs off my xj.
