how many springs in a stock xj pack its an 88 ithought i had lift shackles but they are stock.there are 5 springs on my xj thanks 4 any replys

 

Stock XJ leaf springs have 5 leafs.

UMMM I think you might be mistaken.
my stock 99 leaf pack has 4 leafs in it. and pretty much every XJ I have seen in the junkyard has had 4 leafs as well.
sounds like this guy has an AAL

 

this xj has a 2 in teraflex coil spacer and i thought it had 2in shackles but the more i have learned from here the shackles are stock so the lift had to come come from somewere so i started lookn and saw 5 spring but they are all the same thickness so maybe lifted pack ill post pick tomorrow.

 

yea I just did a lift on my XJ yesterday and just to make sure I wasnt talkin out my azz I took notice of the stock leaf count and just as I thought I remembered it had 4 leafs stock.
it now has 5 but 3 of them are from an S10 p/u and it also has a 4" lift now instead of a 1" sag

 

im pretty sure mine has 5 leaves, maybe its the years that make it different

 

it seem that i may have been dreaming i had 5 leaf springs upon closer inspection there are only 4 but its a good thing i looked it seems i may have a center pin sheared and leaf shifted to one side hope it last to the week end

 

What kind of shock is that? I see duct tape....i think.

How do they hold up to off roading?

 

only had it a couple of months no good wheeling time they ride ok i guess.
