I was wondering if there is such a thing as a larger oil pan that will accommodate a melling HP oil pump without modification for a 2000 Jeep XJ 4.0 L?

 

There's nothing but OE style oil pans available for the Jeep Engine. Is the engine pretty heavily modified?


The OE 4 liter oil pump was designed to supply more than adequate oil flow and pressure unless the lubrication system has been changed. They typically out-live the distributor gear by a substantial margin as well.

The high volume pumps are specific to modified/turbocharged engines with modified lubrication systems like piston oil squirters, external oil coolers, turbo oil feed lines or valve spring oil squirters.
