I have 00 cherokee sport, i was going to replace the key lock cylinder (old one wont move unless i tap it with a hammer) i am having a hard time finding a replacement (i dont know why no one has one), but i am sure i can get one online no big deal, in my sreach i called a dealership (i know never a good idea) but they told me the part comes in many peices and that i would need to have it "CODED" (whatever that means), and i could not do this job on my own. is there any truth to what he said or is he blowing smoke up my butt like i think he is, (no computer chip in the key)
