key FOB
So i bought a used 2000 jeep cherokee sport. No keyless entry FOB came with it. (friend of mine has a 99 sport and his has this)
1. Do all of them normally have this keyless entry?
2. How can I tell if my jeep would work with one?
3. Besides the dealer where might I get one?
4. If my jeep does work with one and I get a keyless entry fob how would I program it to my jeep?
Any comments and suggestions would be great.

You can e-mail Chrysler with the VIN number (go to "Contact Us" on the Jeep website) and ask for the original buildsheet. This would tell you whether it had keyless entry. I did this for mine and got it no problem.

I don't know, mine came with the original FOB. I imagine you might have to go to the dealer.
I just dug up this link, you'll want to request the buildsheet here:

Ok so I got the spec sheet from Jeep. It does have keyless entry. Dealer is asking $93.00 for the fob and another $45.00 to program it. Im finding new to used ones on ebay in the $15 to $35 range. Spoke with a locksmith friend of mine and hes saying the dealer HAS to do it. But yet I found this info on programming it? Can any of you confirm if this info is correct and if not do you have a link to the correct programming?
Thanks for the link again on getting the data build sheet.

I got mine off ebay, 18 dollars shipped, just ask the dealers for the part number so you make sure you get the right one. I called around to a couple local locksmiths, they all said it had to be programmed at the dealer. The local jeep dealer here did it for free so you may get lucky like i did.
