key cylinder help

So my key cylinder is like stuck... it wont turn back to lock. it sets 1 click forward from lock. And i cant twist it to go back to lock or forwards. I can start my jeep but i cant get back behind the lock thing. Like its lock then backwards 1 click i cant do that. what do i do ? replace the key cylinder?

It is probably the key cylinder. If it is an older cherokee, this thread gives you great instructions on how to remove it http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea...n+lock+removal
Once out, use a flathead screw driver to turn it of and on. Rock auto sells a replacement cylinder w/ keys for $10. Hope this helps
