So my jeep fails inspection today.. no tail light. Come to find out a fuse is blown that controls the whole driver side marker lights front and back. Brakes and blinkers still work, so its just blowing on that circuit.
Anything common it could be? I've checked all the wiring at the sockets and am not finding anywhere it's visibly shorting out.
edit
Recently my fog lights went out too. I'm looking at the schematic and left side lamps (front and rear) go through the fog lamp relay #1 in the pdc. So I'm sure this is all tied together somehow.

The power from F7 doesn't go through the fog lamp relay, it taps off the power input to the relay.
Try removing the relay and see if the fuse still blows.

Unfortunately you do have a short since it keeps blowing the fuse. The only way you are going to find it is to trace the related wires. Not a fun job but it has to be done if you want to fix it right. Just make sure that you have a decent multimeter.

No all this seemed to start after I dropped it off for the hood to get painted.

Yes I visually checked it all behind the panel...nothingthat I can see sticks out as causing a problem. Ill give it a good rattle when I hookup a headlight to that circuit.

See if you can isolate the front lights.
There's a large Black connector, called C106, located in front of the air filter box. The connector is in an area suseptable to water intrusion. Remove the air filter box and unplug the connector combo and inspect the pins and pin cavities for corrosion. If okay, leave them unplugged and see if fuse F7 blows. If it doesn't blow, the fault is in the front lighting Left Park/Turn Signal Lamps, or Left Side Marker Lamp. If the fuse still blows, the fault is elsewhere.
If C106 is corroded, clean all off corrosion, reconnect and try again.

If the above proves to be inconclusive, try isolating the rear lights.
Remove the cover off the Junction Block and unplug connector C7. See JB diagram below. This will isolate the License Plate Lamp, Left Tail/Stop Lamp, and, if installed, the Trailer Tow Connector.
With C7 unplugged see if F7 blows.

My bulbs all work (blinker and brake) so I dont think they are the issue. I took out the bulbs, put the #7 fuse in and now my right side does not work.
I have 2 fuses blown in the PDC.
edit
Found the small fuse listing for the PDC
in the PDC
#19 and #23 where blown.
Brake lights
Auto Shutdown Relay <-- what the heck is this?
With those two blown, my #7 is not blowing.

No further testing done yet today, but I wonder if running Hella 500's off my factory fog light harness and wiring didn't melt a glob of wires together somewhere?
