I gotta replace the harmonic balancer on my '91 Laredo soon, and the mechanic said I need to replace that as well as the front seal..
I have looked at google, autozone, etc.. and I can't find any front seal retaining to the balancer.
What is my mech talking about when he says the front seal?
Thanks

The front seal he is referring to is the timing cover (or case) front seal. I did the same thing when i replaced my harmonic balancer. As soon as you pull the balancer off, its just right in the hole of the timing case. Just pry it out, and push the new one in. Its pretty easy, but if you don't have a h. balancer puller its a PITA.

I used to sell parts, the seal you are looking for is considered the front crank seal, or timing cover seal. You will be able to find this at any auto parts store
