I just have a couple questions. First, if I add 2 inch bump stops will that make my wheel 2 inches lower from my fender, or is there some kind of math that I dont know about? Second, I see alot of posts and such about AAL lift, what exactly is AAL?
Alrighty. Bump stops are for use if you've ever had trouble with your tire hitting your wheel well. They will stop your wheel from going up any farther, before your shock absorber does. If you have large tires and a small lift, you may need these, because with the same axle movement as before, the tire will hit the wheel well. Bump stops will stop the axle at a certain point, so you don't rub.
AAL stands for add a leaf. It is exactly what it sounds like: To achieve a stiffer spring pack, which in turn keeps your jeep from sagging on the springs as much, you can add a leaf. It is just one of the pieces of metal in the rear leaf packs. I'm not sure of any numbers, as I have never tried it.

Bumpstops limit wheel travel up into the wheel well. It is to prevent the tire from making contact with the fender and rubbing when the suspension flexes offroad.
AAL stands for add a leaf, meaning adding an additional leaf to the existing leafspring to gain lift.

I understand that bump stops limit travel, right now my tires push into my fenders pretty hard I think that if I can stop it 2 inches short it wont do it any more, I guess my question is will 2 inch extended bump stops will keep the tire from rubbing or with the bumpstop being farther inboard will I need a 3 inch extended one to stop the wheel 2 inches short?
Use a floor jack to lift one side of the front axle, raising the tire into the wheel well until you reach to point where you would like to stop. Then measure the distance from the stock bumpstop to the axle to determine what length extended bumpstop you need.

when i have the front susp. flexed almost to the fender theres only about 1/4 inch between coils so I cant really measure in there. When the tires in the finder all the coils are compleatly touching, and I know thats not good
