Default Just need some quick tips how to bleed 94 cherokee clutch.

Hi all, Im just helping my buddy out with his new jeep. We replaced the clutch master cylinder tonight. I just wasnt exactly sure the steps for bleeding the system. I know how to bleed, I just keep hearing/seeing different thing about what to do with the slave?? I heard something about a c-clamp and all that. A little help guys?? thanks!!

i do believe its pretty well the same as any hydraulic clutch system. There should be a screw on the slave cylinder, the bottom one. With the screw closed get your buddy to pump the clutch ten to 15 times, on the last pump hold the pedal down. With the pedal down open the screw and air and fluid will come out. continue this cycle until no air comes out and you have solid clutch.

however i have never done my cherokee clutch, but it should be the same

do i just bleed it from the slave cylinder? I thought I had to bleed it from the clutch area it self as well??

a cherokee could be diffferent but for my s-10 all we did was bleed from the slave, and the system seems to be basically the same
