Default Just found a 93(make that a 98) 4.0 for my 92 .. any major issues ?

Im hopefully going to pick up a engine out of a 93cherokee with 110k miles for $225 is there any issues im going to have. ? its a complete engine intake exhaust injectors tb... whats the diferance in years ? or will it pretty much be a bolt in?


Ok stoped at yard got motor.. pics in my build ( https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/bl...y-build-35750/ )
Looks great... ok now.. sender in rear of head.. going to have to drill hole tap.. not to big deal... injectors are diferant... 92 has orange.. 98 has gray ? any diferance ? anything eles ? how about the TB havent really looked at that yet ... any advice be good...

P/S motor looks like it was very well taken care of ... check out pics..

Should be a bolt in IMO. I have service manuals for both and they are identical...Tj

I dont see anything that would stop you. As long as all the parts are the same you are fine. If not just use your parts on that block and your good to go.

i would replace the rear main seal while you have it on the engine stand. (They are prone to leak)Your back will thank you later.
