Quote: Yea thats what I thought but the block clearly had FRONT and REAR engraved on both sides...so I just installed it how it told me too.
I have your same lift, it came with springs in the front and shimmed (cast iron with rectangular holes) blocks and a short AAL. I had to grind a little material off the center pin because it was to wide to fit in the leaf hole. I putted the AAL between the last leaf (which was shorter) and the others, but probably it was supposed to go instead of it, because the u bolts were too short.
I am having no problems with the blocks and the excessive height in the rear sagged after a week.

Quote: lol... thats funny... the fat end should be on the front... it will raise the pinion and point it more towards the xfer case...
The fat end goes in the rear.

If it was an MJ with the leaf springs under the axle I'd agree with you.
XJ's however have the leafs sitting on top of the axle and the skinny end of the block should face forward towards the transfer case.
Your trying to get the pinion yoke to point upwards towards the floor of the jeep right?

Crap just saw Fantic's drawing. Beat me to it.

You all are smokin crack, let me post a pic of mine so you can do some measurments of how much rake my XJ has.. .. Honestly i like a 4wheel drive to sit level or have a slight tilt back. Never been much on the Soddy Slant(anyone who lives around Chattanooga knows what i mean by that), like back in the 70's when people would D-Arch their leaf springs, rollin down the road lookin like the front tag was gonna drag the pavement lol.

level is the best look... i have seen baha or whatever style lifts with the front lifted up with super wide fenders... that junk looks good... not on a XJ though... at least i havent seen anyone make them kinda fenders for a XJ... lol
