Help-Knocking sound coming from Left Front Wheel

Help-Knocking sound coming from Left Front Wheel
Hi,
a few days ago my jeep steering column was kinda vibrating when I was going down the highway but I thought it was just because the tires were cold, but when I start to slow down or I am driving 20 mph or less, I hear a knocking sound that I think is coming from the left front tire.
I know its not the engine or transmission because the sound is not there in idle and it is still there when I roll it in neutral. my dad and I took the tire off and brake hub and didnt see anything wrong.
Any suggesstions would be greatly aprreciated...
