Honestly, I cant even read your post. Seriously.....sentence structure, punctuation and periods. I'm NOT trying to be a dink, but you might get some more responses. Honestly, I'm trying to read over it and make sense of it and I'm getting more confused & dizzy feeling.

The only thing I can make out in your post is "this line here" that's circled in the photo. If you're asking about the line coming out of the valve cover (because I'm not sure what you're asking about honestly) its the CCV valve (crankcase ventilation) fresh air hose and it should come from your air cleaner housing.

if you can only get it to run by spraying fuel/ether in the throttle body your either not getting fuel pressure or injector pulse

Dont worry your not its cool but in general i was asking Does the 96 fuel have a senser in it, will the ccv cause it not to run and is that canister thing important and why does it go to the gas tank?

I think the canister that you are referring to is the Evaporative canister. What it does is store fuel vapors from the fuel tank. When the engine is started those vapors get drawn out of the canister and into the engine for combustion. If any of those hoses going from the canister to the engine or air box are rotten get some new hoses from the auto parts store and replace them. All this is in Chapter 6 of the Haynes you have.
