Just bought an XJ
I purchased a 1998 XJ 2wd auto with 141,000 miles on it. It seems like it's in really good shape. New plugs/wires and recent oil change. Is there anything else I should do to it? Cooling system flush? Transmission flush? Add Sea Foam to the tank, etc. I've heard that sometimes it's best not to do those things if they haven't been done througout the history of the vehicle. Kind of a "let a sleeping dog lie" sort of thing. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What GoD said....and if there r any signs of over heating and there's no receipts in the glove box for cooling system component replacement, consider replacing the cooling system (+/-$250 in parts including a new rad).
Separating the tranny dipstick tube may be an issue....it was on our XJ. A small tubing cutter, piece of 1/2" rubber fuel hose and 2 small clamps will make the next pan drop a piece of cake.

Don't take the chance of flushing crud from one area to another.....flush the head/motor, heater core and radiator (if u don't replace it) separate of each other. I would also suggest not removing the drain plug from the radiator...it's plastic and breaks easily. Best way to drain coolant is by removing the bottom rad hose from the water pump. Easiest way to remove the bottom rad hose is by removing the air filter box 1st.
