Default just bought a 93 cherokee!! need helpful advice

so i just bought a 93 jeep cherokee with 246000 miles
4.0 straight 6

i bought it knowing i will need to put in a lot of work to make her run better but i need to know if the engine is toast

the engine runs but while in idle at a light and at start up she shakes horribly, and it also seems like all the oil is blowing into the air filter and even maybe some coolant. and the back end shakes as well

so my question is where can i get a low mileage engine and what am i looking at cost to have it put in. what all is common to go wrong with this yr

i live in vancouver wa / portland or

^^ This or start calling around your area for prices. Sorry can't be of more help. But these would be your best options since a lot of time location will make a difference on the prices.

Don't worry about price, get a second mortgage on the house if the Jeep needs something.

I sold my xj in oct because I didn't have money to replace the blown engine. Two weeks later my buddy who bought it went to pick and pull and bought a motor for $142.xx and a week later was driving it around.
