Default Junkyard salvage parts.

Need help first post so sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have been using this site for a long time to build a list of mods I wan't to do to my jeep.
Firstly i'll start off by saying I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I've been trying to save up to do some major overhauling of my jeep as my engine has over 160k miles on it. Unfortunately some satanistic person decided they would run directly into the side of my car while it was parked, and leave no note. So now my main priority is getting my car road safe again. I need a new passenger door shell, i'm pretty sure the door panels and handles ill be able to take off the one door and put on the other, but im having troubles.
First Question: What year doors will fit on to my 98 sport?
Second Question: How much can I expect to pay.

Other information: I live Broomfield, CO

will post pictures soon.

EDIT: http://s1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee394/Tommy_Leurck/
As you can see, the passenger door is completely jammed shut, I have tried everything within my might to get the door off but no such luck, i could just bash it into oblivion with hammers and such but id rather not. another piece of information, my budget is at around $200 dollars max. Gotta pay rent you know.

97-01 will fit, other years might, but 97-01 will

Had the same thing happen to me!

I got lucky and found someone parting out an xj. I picked up both complete passenger doors for $50. Your door handles and door lock can be swapped out without much difficulty. I've still yet to put my power window regulator and power locks on though.

The biggest problem I'm having is getting the doors lined up properly. Make sure the post between doors isn't tweaked as well as your hinges.

Thank you both for the quick reply. I feel i may have some difficulty switching out the doors. I did not think about the hinges but after further thought Im going to guess they are probably pretty bent. Nothing a hammer couldn't fix though eh? That definitely is a good price i wish i could find somehting like that. The door is so badly torn up that i cannot open the rear passenger door either. The frame though, appears to be in fine condition. Will post pictures soon hopefully that will help with getting
some opinions

I couldn't open the front passenger door. Nothing an angle grinder couldn't fix.

00dynamite got it. 97-01 doors'll fit, they have better mirrors too. Replacing the whole door is much easier than re-skinning. Junkyards are the best source for them. replace the whole hinge rather than pulling hinge pin. Have fun with it otherwise you'll hate your jeep. good luck.

Do a junkyard search, go to www.car-part.com and look up the parts you need near your zip code.

Looking at his pics I'm willing to bet it is.

Mine was fscked up, still is a little. Recovery strap and a come along helped to pull it out. Think I pulled mine out a bit much =) still need a second go at it to get it aligned properly

@OOdynamite im just going to guess the frame is fine, someone would have to hit a parked car pretty damn hard to do that kind of damage (or so ive been told...)

@Running Free if that last bit is supposed to say " the a pillar has the hinges on it" then yes it is completely mangled, it is the part i am most weary about. the inside of the door is all bent in down near the fuse box and such also. someone had to have hit it with quite a bit of force.y

Any/ all instructions are helpful thanks for everyones patience.

Hard to say without pics of the pillar. Find some doors and cut the old ones off and post some pics. It's a pita to get that pillar straight but it's do able. I got mine straightened out better today, front door seals now yay.

Added some new, clearer pictures of the A-pillar. It appears it was torqued a bit on impact the windshield shattered a bit in the bottom right corner but I really don't think that there was much damage to it. My biggest concern are where the hinges and the door meet. also if i buy a new electric door from the junkyard how hard is it to attach the electrical parts.
