Default Junk yard lift IMPORTANT (?)

Hey guys I have a 96 classic, rear is sagging so i went to a junk yard saw a fallen soldier there and noticed a lift on it, I bought the front coil springs with spacers, also the rear leaf springs and lift blocks but noticed after the main spring on one of the leafs is snapped. Is there any way to take my current leaf springs and junk yard leafs to lift it even more.... I am 20 yrs old and wicked broke, I spent 150 on all this stuff and am getting to work on it tomorrow so please respond ASAP.

Thanks,
Dickie Dew

LOL!

I grew up about an hour away in Mansfield, miss hearing that everything is wicked.

And yeah, take out the center bolt of both leaf packs and simply exchange the broken leaf for your good one, or reconfigure to take out the sag. Your best bet for the rear, use rear leafs out of a Chevy S10 and combine them for some good lift/ride. Simply use the search feature and look up "Bastard Packing".

Cool man glad to hear about a local XJ driver, I learned all about Bastard Packing but wasn't to sure about mix matching cherokee and other xj leaf springs. so instead of using a normal 4 spring pack, make it like a 7 spring pack. Sounds good to me.

Hope we can keep in touch, hope to find a spot up by Manchester to go mudding.

Thanks again,

Not exactly, lmao.

I was suggesting you could cure your rear leafs that were sagging by switching them with the junkyard springs, but bastard packing them together for more lift, not gonna play ball, sorry man.

Speaking from experience, I know most scrapyards honor a 3 day return policy. See if you can swap the ones you pulled for S10 springs. Just a thought.
