So my jeep was running really bad. So i took the Valve cover off and found that i could press one of the 2nd cyl lifters down. It was squishy and i could push it down. So it obviously wasnt holding oil. Which to me, either means there is a hole in it or the check ball is stuck.

Im hoping the that check ball is stuck so i can clean them and re-install them.


But if i have to replace the lifters, do i need to replace the camshaft as well?
