So my driver's side switch finally gave up the ghost and the window is stuck down. Is it possible to jump the connector to get the window up temporarily until I can fix the switch?

On my '01 the wires to the driver's side window motor are the light blue and white wires on pins 5 & 12 of the main connector on the switch assembly in the driver's door. The tan wire on pin 9 is hot and ground is the black wire on the smaller connector, pin 5 I think.

I'm not sure what would happen if you try to jump it with the connector still attached to the switch. It might work fine but I could also see it shorting out and blowing the fuse. So I'd suggest disconnecting the connector from the switch before jumping it.
