Exclamation Jump to 2500 RPM in Park gear?!

Ok guys so I think I've been having some issues with my engine lately. Well today as I turned the Jeep on it was in park and as soon as the engine came on it jumped to 2500 RPMs and just stayed there. No foot on brake or gas. Then I shifted it into Drive and it shot back down to 1000 or so rpms. Then as I started to roll out only using Drive...the engine kept jerking and would stop and then go. Anyone can help? Thanks so much

Sounds like your getting a high idle
That's has happened to me wen I've started my rig but it's always calmed right down and not stayed high

Your throttle position sensor sounds bad.

First thing to do is a thorough throttle body and IAC cleaning. I think TJ Walker has a write-up he'll post for you. If he's up yet.....

Alright I'll try that. Usually my idle seems alittle on the low side but now it's been randomly flying up like that. I checked the cables and they seems kind of loose so maybe I have to tighten those and check the sensor and stuff. It seems when I also accelerate my rpms go way up quickly but the Jeep itself isn't going as fast as it should. I have the pedal half way down if not more just to get to get it going

Could also be a vacuum leak somewhere.
